Carl Poterjoy Obituary

Carl Frank Poterjoy, 69, of Browndale, passed away at home after a long illness on Tuesday June 28, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Felicia Meglich Poterjoy.

Born March 10, 1953 in Vandling, PA, Carl was the son of Frank and Mary (Oblock) Poterjoy. He was a well-known local contractor, known for his woodworking skill. He loved his grand kids, gardening and his Beagles.

He is also survived by a daughter, Happy Lichtenberger (Dan), sons Joshua (Corrie) and Jonathan (Kelly), grandchildren Reid, Norah, Skye, Zoe, Poppy and Apollo, a sister Marge Burrell, Uniondale, sister Fran Donovan, Browndale, sister Marianne Cocchiaro (Frank), Texas, brother Frank Poterjoy (Nancy), Vandling, and sister Carolyn Lodato (John), Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews.

A family led Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 13, from 1 to 4pm at Frank's Place in Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allied Hospice of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre or American Cancer Society.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
