Becky Lynn Butler, 64, of Forest City, passed Sunday, at the home of her brother Glenn and Jennifer, surrounded by family.
Born in Vandling, she was the daughter of Joan Butler, Sarasota, Fla., and the late Tom Butler. She was a 1977 graduate of Forest City Regional High School. Over her years of employment, she worked at various bakeries in the area including My Mother’s Delicacies in Scranton. While she enjoyed these jobs, she truly loved her employment helping clients fulfilling daily life skill needs at such places as Friendship House and Step by Step. She was kind, compassionate and a loving person with a sharp wit who loved to make people laugh. She will be missed greatly.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Glenn Butler and wife, Jennifer, Ararat; and Scott Butler, Knoxville, TN; two nieces Tiffany (Butler) Kay and husband Will, and Jessica (Butler) Caterino and husband Sal; a nephew, Tyler Butler; 3 great-nephews; and a great-niece.
A big thank you to Karen Bensen who has been a great caregiver to Becky and friend throughout her illnesses.
Visitation will be Friday February 23rd from 6 to 7 at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Interment is private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dessin Animal Shelter, Honesdale.
