Barbara A. Taylor, 90 of Forest City died Tuesday evening at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband of 65 years, Albert Taylor died in 2019.
Born September 14, 1932 in Carbondale, she is the daughter of the late Benjamin and Beatrice Thomas Yanchitis. She was a devoted member of Christ Episcopal Church, Forest City. Prior to retirement she worked in the cafeteria at Forest City Regional High School. Barb liked to travel and enjoyed going to the casino and watching horse races. She liked to play BINGO and knit. She especially loved her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Also surviving are a daughter Pam Ferrari and companion Mark Gulbin, Union Dale; a son David Taylor and wife Michele, Carbondale; a brother Arthur Yanchitis and wife Marian, Forest City; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Taylor Ann, Nathan, Nadine, Ernie, Troy; two great grandchildren Taylor and Talon; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City with services at 10:30am, to be celebrated by the Rev. William McGinty, in the Christ Episcopal Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment will take place at a later date. Viewing will be Monday from 5pm to 7pm in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
