Barbara (Zabicki) DeMorato

Barbara DeMorato, 80, of Richmondale died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Her husband is Nicholas DeMorato.

Born September 24, 1945, in Manhattan, NY she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria Samborski Zabicki. Barbara was a member of Ascension Parish. Prior to retirement she worked as a secretary at Kane Manufacturing. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband Nicholas, she is survived by a daughter Diane Russ and husband Robert, Eustace, TX; a son Nicholas DeMorato, Lake Worth, FL; two sisters Victoria Gerichten, Oroville, CA, and Susan and Ira Tainowitz, Lincoln, CA; grandchildren, Robert and Ashton Russ, Italy, TX and Chad and Holly Russ, Malakoff, TX; great grandchildren, Trip Russ, Tucker Russ, Tate Russ, Spencer Fuson, and Parker Russ; an aunt, Joanne Samborski, Richmondale; nieces and nephews, Robert and Patricia Gerichton, Suzie Tainowitz, David Tainowitz, and Jennifer Burkshot.

As per Barbara's request there will be no viewing and burial will take place in Union Dale Cemetery on Saturday at 11am.
