April L. (McCroy) Hooten

April L. Hooten, 63, formerly of the Forest City area, died on Thursday June 15th, 2023. Her husband Gerard P. Hooten, Sr. died in 2012.

Born March 22, 1960 in Chicago, IL, April is the daughter of the late Gary and Cynthis Miller McCroy. She was an avid crafter, who liked to make wreaths and brooms. She liked to collect little stuffed animals and enjoyed listening to concerts at the Assembly of God Church. She was known as the coupon queen at local grocery stores and super markets.

April is survived by a son Gerard Hooten, Jr. and fiancee Amanda Walters, Wilkes-Barre, grandchildren Willow, Lylah, Samantha, Sara, Noah, Arianna, Sasha, Gwen, River, and Clara.

She is preceded in death by daughters Tara and Kelly.

Cremation is through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
