Anne M. Pavlovich, 91, of Forest City, died Sunday evening at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband of 66 years, Joseph, died in November 2012.
Born in Forest City on April 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Swegel Shivitz. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Parish, Forest City.
Anne enjoyed serving as Tax Collector for the borough for several years and before her retirement from Zazzera's Supermarket, Anne and her husband, Joe, owned and operated Tri-County Auto in Forest City and Waymart. They both were members of the Coachmen Caravan Club and made many memorable trips around the country to visit family. Anne enjoyed playing pinochle and Aggravation with her sisters, children and grandchildren through the years and especially enjoyed joining them in singing and playing music.
Surviving are children Joseph Pavlovich and wife Marjorie, Waymart; Raymond Pavlovich, Suwanee, GA; Joanne Swartz and husband Kent, Waymart; and Michael Pavlovich and wife Sally, Williamsville, NY; 11 grandchildren, Robert, Jeffrey, Max, LeeAnn, Joshua, Clinton, Shelby, Jed, Matthew, Emily, and Samuel; 11 great grandchildren, a sister Marge and husband Gus DeMark, Forest City; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jay, Oscar, and Joseph Shivitz; and four sisters Mary Maleckar, Sophie Sheroshek, Gally Warner and Polly Kazlauskas.
Funeral will be Saturday at 9:30am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing will be Friday from 5-8pm.
