Anna (Saiz) Drasler

Anna Saiz Drasler, 107, died peacefully Saturday morning of natural causes at the Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center. Her husband Anthony Drasler passed away in 1986.

Born March 16, 1913 in Sesser, IL. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Koklj Saiz. She was employed as a seamstress at area garment companies prior to retirement. She was a member of the S.N.P.J. Society Lodge #124, Forest City. She was an excellent cook and baker who loved gardening, sewing, and making fine, crocheted lace doilies. She and her family spent many enjoyable hours fishing at local lakes as well as those in New York and Canada.

Surviving are a son Eugene Drasler and wife Kitty, Stering, NY; a daughter Joyce Sperry and husband Timothy, Mechanicsburg, PA; 5 grandchildren Marianne, Annette, Douglas, Noel, and Stephanie; 9 great grandchildren Shai, Logan, Jake, Nick, Zain, Raedyn, Hailey, Amanda, and Emily; 5 great great grandchildren Patrick, Lexi, Porter, Jason, and Jemma; several nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by a son Donald; 2 sisters Rose Watson and Josephine Moschino; and 3 brothers Martin, Lawrence, and Stanley Saiz.

Private family visitation will be at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Spring interment will take place in Rounds Cemetery, Uniondale
