Ann Sterchak, 85, of Forest City, died Saturday morning at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband Joseph A. Sterchak passed away in 1982.
Born and raised in Forest City, daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Bronchella, she was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church. Ann was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching old movies, playing cards and bingo and an occasional trip to the casino.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph M. and wife Kathleen, Collegeville, PA, and Ronald and fiancé©e Nanette Barberis and her daughter Heather, Gettysburg, PA; grandchildren Daniel Sterchak with wife Megan and daughter Julianna, Matthew Sterchak, Sara Sterchak; a sister, Mary Bronchella, Forest City; two brothers: Joseph Bronchella, Forest City and John Bronchella, Susquehanna; brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers James, Albert, Michael, Louis and William Bronchella.
Funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Forest City by Msgr. John Sekellick. Interment in St. John's Cemetery, Richmondale. Viewing on Wednesday 6-8 pm with Parastas at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forest City Regional Educational Foundation in Ann's memory.
