Allan B. Hanna, 81, of Forest City, died Monday morning at home. His wife is the former Elizabeth Zipay.
Born September 7, 1943, in West Virginia, he is the son of the late C.L. and Alta Greene Hanna. Prior to retirement he worked as a butcher and later a public notary. Allan loved to hunt, both during rifle and archery season. He enjoyed working in his garden and found solace reading the Bible nightly. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is also survived by daughters Alicia Hodges and husband Phil, Jr., Browndale; Tammy Lamb; Joy Pruitt; a son Troy Graham and wife Jennifer, Old Forge; and grandchildren Sydney Hodges and Phil Hodges III, several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by siblings Thelma, Janet, Marion, and Richard.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday October 13th at 11:30 am at the Cornerstone Bible Church, 520 Marion Street, Browndale. Family and friends are welcome to join Cornerstone’s weekly service at 10 am beforehand.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
