Agnes Pauline Zedar, of Forest City, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 after a brief illness.
She was born on February 13, 1940 in New York City to her wonderful parents, the late John and Flo Prezelski Zedar.
While living in Clifton, NJ, she held Managerial positions at The New York Telephone Co. for 32 years. Upon her retirement, she moved to Forest City, the home town to generations of her family, and so close to her heart, where she enjoyed 22 years of happiness and contentment, surrounded by wonderful neighbors.
A proud New Yorker and an avid New York Yankees fan, she never missed a game. She embraced every moment of change with an open mind. We will always remember her thoughtfulness, kind words and the warmth she brought to any family gathering. Always a great listener, she was willing to share her wisdom with the family she loved so dearly.
She will forever be cherished by her sisters Florence Volk (Edward) Endwell, NY and Joann Puma (Joseph) Conroe, TX. A beloved aunt, her memory will live on with her niece Jennifer Crianza (Jason), Spring, TX and nephews Edward Volk (Tracey), Alexandria, VA, Ryan Volk (September Torres), Endicott , NY, Christopher Puma and great nieces and nephew Olivia Volk, Lily Crianza and Brian Volk. She is also survived by several cousins, especially Al Zedar, Pleasant Mount and neighbor and friend Michelle Davis.
Lord, you have our angel, Onie, now. May Heaven embrace her and hold her dear.
