Agnes Gallocher, 95 of New York, passed away at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York on August 27, 2009. She had been a resident of Little Neck Nursing Home in Queens for approximately 4 years where she befriended a group of wonderful residents and professional staff.

Born April 27, 1914, Agnes, daughter of the late Mr And Mrs Paul Polesnak was raised in Browndale, PA. In her early teens she left Pennsylvania to go to New Jersey and New York to find work. She also found a husband!

Agnes met and married Maurice Vincent Gallocher and had 2 sons, Martin and Daniel. Her husband and younger son, Daniel both have passed away and she is survived by her son Martin, daughter-in-law Anita and two granddaughters, Amanda and Eileen.

Agnes was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Her wonderful sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to all the lives she touched. During her later years she experienced dementia and short term memory problems. Despite these maladies, she had maintained a sense of humor and great demeanor. Agnes will be greatly be missed and remain in the hearts of her family and all those who knew her.

A mass will be conducted at St Joseph's Church in Forest city followed by a graveside service that will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery, Forest City on Monday, August 31 at 10:00am.
