Paul A. Terchek

Paul A. Terchek, 89, of Forest City, died Thursday morning at the Forest City Nursing Home. His wife Leona Terchek died in 2002.

Born August 15, 1927 in Forest City, he was the son of the late Jacob and Johanna Korosec Terchek. Paul was Navy veteran serving in WWII and Korea. He was Head Dam Operator at Stillwater Lake prior to retirement. He was a member of Ascension Parish and caretaker for St. Joseph's Cemetery. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving is a daughter Donna Shivitz and husband Joe, Browndale; 2 grand daughters Danielle Adami and husband Eric, Seattle, WA; and Sandy Warnagiris and husband Joe, Pittsburgh; 4 great grandchildren Abigail, Jacob, Dylan, and Brody; nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by 4 brothers Jacob, Stanley, Frank, and Ed; and 2 sisters Tini and Sylvia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Viewing will be Sunday from 4-7pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the building fund of Ascension Parish, 612 Hudson Street, Forest City, PA 18421
