Marion (Holowack) O'Neill

Marion O'Neill, 84, of Honesdale, died Friday evening at home. Her husband John E. O'Neill died in 2004.

Born September 1, 1932 in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Timko and Mary Jubinski Holowack. Marion was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Pentecostal Church in Hawley and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. She won awards for her stuffed mushrooms and cold peach soup.

Surviving are three sons Thomas, ND, Mark, Honesdale, and Leo Patrick, Honesdale, a daughter Ann, VA, a sister Stella “Mitzi” Verchick, NV, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by three sisters Irene Alexander, Anne Kidder, and Helen Holowack.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 10:30am in the New Covenant Fellowship Pentecostal Church, 32 Columbus Ave., Hawley. Cremation was through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
