Denton "Mike" Bennett

Denton “Mike” Bennett, 71, of Honesdale died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. His wife, Carol Chumard died in 2017.

Born in Wilkes Barre, he was the son of the late Donald L. and Ada M. Loomis Bennett. Mike, as he was known was a handyman around town. He enjoyed talking to everyone he met and people gravitated toward his conversation.

Michael is survived by two step daughters, Barbara Theobald, Honesdale and Alana Mizler, White Mills, 4 step- granddaughters, 8 step great grandchildren, a sister-in-law and caregiver, Tina Bennett, Forest City, a brother, Robert Bennett, Tennessee and a sister Kathy Hibbs and husband Bill, South Carolina, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a step son David Chumard, a brother Gary and a sister, Joan.

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, July 26th at 11:00 AM in the Honesdale Community Church, 1113 Church St., Honesdale.
