Nigel P.
Dilley, 54, of
Forest
City,
died Monday evening at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale.
Born November 11,
1954, in London England, he was the son of Paul Lloyd Pitts-Dilley and
the late Audrey McRae King Dilley. He was employed at Jerry's Sports
Center, Vandling. He enjoyed playing softball in local softball
leagues around
Forest
City.
He was an avid and talented guitar player and he loved making his own
music. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by a
daughter Jennifer Dilley and a step daughter Samantha Rieman; two
sisters Amanda and Felicity; a granddaughter Zoe Jane Elizabeth; and
several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be
Friday 3-6 pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home,
513 Main St, Forest
City, PA.
Family and
friends are welcome to say a few words of comfort and remembrance in

Katheryn L. Miller,
70, a resident of Osprey Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center,
died Saturday afternoon at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She
was the wife of the late Franklin L. Miller.
Born June 1, 1938,
in Edison, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Linda
Carducci DeCovelo. She was a catholic and her children and her grand
children were her life and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by
five sons William, Edward, John, Harold, and Eugene Miller; and two
daughters Eileen and Tiffany Miller. 22 grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by three children Frank, Rosie and Charlie Miller.
Viewing will be
Tuesday from 5–8 pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home,
513 Main Street,
Forest City. Interment will be private.

Eleanor Margaret
Bailey Kulasinsky, 92, of Vandling, died Friday at the Forest City
Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Walter Joseph Kulasinsky
who died December 3, 1990.
Born March 9, 1916,
in Vandling, she was the daughter of the late William and Jane Jackson
Bailey. She was a 1934 graduate of Vandling High School. She was a
kind and loving mother who loved her family and her family
gatherings. She will be greatly missed by all who felt her love and
faith.
Eleanor was a former
employee of the Pangee Dress Company, Vandling as well as the Endicott
& Johnson Shoe Company in Forest City. She was an active member of
the Christ Episcopal Church of Forest City. She had a deep devotion
to God and will truly receive her reward in Heaven.
She is survived by
three sons Walter and wife Susan, Archbald, Ronald, and Richard and
wife Sue, Vandling; a daughter-in-law Marge Bailey, Honesdale; 9
grandchildren Peggy Ann, Althea, Barbara, Deborah, Eleanor, Richard,
Karen, Joseph, and Walter; Great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by sisters Charlotte MacAnn, Jennie Simon, & Elizabeth Faulkner;
brothers William Jr., Gordon, Roger, and George Bailey; and a son
Edwin E. Bailey
Funeral will be
Tuesday at 10:30am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main
Street, Forest City, with funeral service at 11:00 am in Christ
Episcopal Church, 700 Delaware Street, Forest City, with services by

Joseph P.
Tasso, Jr. 53, of Browndale, died Saturday evening at home. His wife
is Virginia Brienza Tasso. They were married on June 28, 1975.
Born March 29, 1955,
in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Catherine Cillis Tasso, Vandling
and the late Joseph A. Tasso. He was a graduate of William E. Grady
High School, Brooklyn, NY, a mechanic and supervisor for the
Department of Transportation for 18 years. He was a member of
St. Joseph's
Church, Forest City, an avid bowler who bowled for Siepiela's John
Deere bowling team in Forest City and Carbondale. He enjoyed hunting
and watching NASCAR. He will be greatly missed by his family and
friends.
He is survived by
three children Teresa, James, and Jenna Tasso, all at home, and a
granddaughter Anastasia; two brothers Anthony Tasso, FL, and Ted Tasso,
NY, and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Proceeded in death
by a son Joseph Tasso, III.
Funeral will be

Sam Hemkes,
84, of Orson,
PA, died Thursday at
Wayne Memorial
Hospital, Honesdale. He was the husband of the late Cora J. Hemkes,
who died November 18, 2004.
Born January 14,
1924, in Sint-Jacobiparochie, Netherlands, son of the late Henry and
Margaret Dijkman Hemkes. He formerly resided in
Paterson,
NJ before moving to Orson in 1971. He liked to oil
paint, bowl, and go horseback riding. He also enjoyed watching the
birds and wildlife from his kitchen window. He will be deeply missed
by his family.
He is survived by
two sons Samuel Hemkes, Hawley and Cory Hemkes, Orson; Three brothers,
Daniel, David, and William; two sisters Emma and Izabel; six
grandchildren, Christopher Hemkes, Lori Keathley, Paul Seabridge,
Tamara Maszczak, Kimberly Nemchik, and Janine Pille; and 7 great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in
death by a daughter Judy Seabridge and a grandson Edward J.; two
brothers Timothy and Peter; and a sister Trina.

Joyce
E. Rouilliard, 64, of Archbald died Tuesday morning in the Asera Care
Hospice Unit at Mid Valley Hospital after an illness.
Born in New York
city, daughter of the late Leonard and Marion Doras Rouilliard. She
was educated in the Forest City School District. Prior to retirement,
she worked in the advertising business. She was a member of St. Mary’s
Church, Jessup. Joyce had many artistic abilities
and enjoyed spending time on-line playing games and chatting with
friends. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by
many.
The family would
like to thank the staff of Asera Care Hospice and Dr. Rajah Mulloth &
staff for their kindness and compassion and the special care given to
Joyce.
Surviving are her
two daughters: Nicole and her husband Jason Binning, Lake Worth,
Florida; Kym Shuey and her companion John McDougle,
Minneapolis,
MN; a brother:
Gerard Rouilliard
and his wife Marie, Eynon; a sister: Geraldine Johnson, Archbald;

Steven C. Jones, 60, of Waymart, died Tuesday evening at the VNA Hospice Unit
at Community
Medical
Center,
Scranton. He is the husband of Lynn Honicky Jones, Waymart. They
would have celebrated their 8th
wedding anniversary on October 6th.
Born August 26,
1948, in Oceanside, NY, he was the son of the late Clara Emma Moran.
He was a veteran of the Navy. Before retirement, he was a technician
for the telephone company with New York Telephone, Verizon, and then
NORTEL. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and camping, and he
loved working on his house. He will be greatly missed by his family
and friends.
Also surviving are
two daughters Melissa Jones, Whitestone, NY and Lauren Jones,
Greenlawn, NY, a sister Susan Wandzel, Bayshore, NY, and several
nephews.
He was preceded in
death by a brother Daniel Shannon.
A celebration of his
life will be private at the convenience of the family.

Hospice Unit. He was the husband of the late Mary Alice Patrick
Fitzsimmons who died November 4, 1979.
Born August 5, 1929,
in Carbondale, son of the late Francis and Alice Walsh Fitzsimmons.
He was a 1947 graduate of

and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of St. Agnes
Church, Forest
City
and a member of the Forest City American Legion Post 524. Prior to
retirement,he managed the LCB State Store in Forest City.
He is survived by
two sons Thomas and wife Linda, Forest City and Michael and wife
Karen, Browndale, two brothers James and wife Janet, Forest City, and
Robert and wife Ruth, Vandling, two sisters Alice Kulick and husband
John, Vandling, and Carol Flynn and husband Patrick, Pleasant Mount,
two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Fitzsimmons, Endwell, NY and Beverly
Fitzsimmons, Browndale, 5 grandchildren, Matt, Kyle, Colin,
Christopher, and Patrick, 3 great grandchildren Brendan, Ashton, and
Mitchel, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by two brothers Joseph and Edward Fitzsimmons and two sisters
Ann Turner and Rosemary Novak.

Paul Bebla,
75, of Vandling, and formerly of Simpson, died Friday, at Osprey
Ridge Healthcare Center, Carbondale, after a courageous battle with
diabetes and heart disease. His wife of 21 years is the former Jean
LaVerne Curtis, Richmondale.
Born
July 4, 1933,
in Simpson, son of the late Michael and Mary Egnotovich Bebla, he was
a graduate of Fell High School, Class of 1951. He earned a B.S.
degree from the University of Scranton in1956 and a M.S. degree in
1960. He completed graduate credits at Penn State University and
Temple University. He began his educational career in 1956 at the
Walkill
Central
School in Walkill, NY as a secondary mathematics teacher. In 1957 he
moved to the
Preston
Township
School District at Lakewood, PA. In 1959 he became principal of that
school and taught 3 classes per day as well as attending to his
administrative duties. In 1966 he accepted the position of elementary
supervisor at the Forest City Regional School District and in 1968
became assistant superintendent. In 1972 he joined the staff of the
Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit where he served as Director
of Nonpublic School Services until 1974 when he was appointed
assistant executive director. In 1986 he became executive director
and served in that capacity until his retirement in 1990.
He is a
member of the University of Scranton Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa. His
whole life he was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was a member of
the Simpson Booster Club, which sponsored Little League and Sunday
Amateur Baseball. He was a past president of the Booster Club and
Mountain Baseball League. He is a member of the Grattan Singer Hose
Company, Simpson and a lifetime member of the Forest City Lions Club.
He also served as secretary of the Simpson Chamber of Commerce for
many years.
Surviving are his sister, Dorothy Ann Bebla, Simpson, and 2 aunts.
Also 3 stepsons: Richard, Leonard and Ronald Curtis, Forest City,
several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Paul was a
lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church, Simpson,
and served as president and secretary for many years of St. George’s
Choral Group and the Holy Name Society.
Funeral
will be Tuesday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621
Main Street, Simpson, with Divine Liturgy at 10 am in SS Peter & Paul
Greek Creek Catholic Church, 15 Rittenhouse St, Simpson by the Rev.

the wife of the late John M. Tomazic who died April 1, 1994.
Born October 18,
1922, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Victor and
Frances Novak Lauriha. She was a member of
St. Joseph's
Church, the Slovenian Heritage Club, secretary of SNPJ Lodge #124, and
a former member of the Forest City BPW, all of
Forest
City. She
was a talented quilter and will be greatly missed by her family and
friends.
She is survived by a
son Paul Tomazic, Forest City; two daughters Linda Telatovich,
Lauderhill, FL and Karen Wallingford, Gladwyne; two brothers Edward
Lauriha, Spring Hill,
FL and Donald Lauriha, Plumsteadville; four grandchildren, Andrew
Telatovich, Jessica and Christine Wallingford, and Matt Tomazic; and
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by six brothers, Victor, August, George, Gabriel, David, and
Raymond; and two sisters Frances and Elsie, and a son John.

Paul W.
McCartney, 65, of Browndale, died Friday evening at the VNA Hospice
Unit at Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is the husband of Carol
Zawisky McCartney, Browndale. They were married on April 5, 1964.
Born September 27,
1942, in New York City, he was the son of the late Roy and Esther MacPhee
McCartney.
Paul attended
New York public schools and was a member of the Roman Catholic
Community of Forest City. He loved baseball and was a lifelong Yankees
fan. That love was evident to anyone he came in contact with during
his 20 year association with the Forest City Little League, where he
coached and eventually served as commissioner. He was a wonderful and
loving husband, a devoted and joyful father, and grandfather, his
favorite roll. He always had time for his family and friends. He lived
life to the fullest and enjoyed everyday and everybody. He will be
greatly missed.
In times of
adversity, which included his recent illness, he had an unshakable
faith. That faith teamed with his own affable nature, was and is a
great inspiration to his friends and family.
He is also survived
by two sons, Paul and wife Karen, Peckville, and Robert and wife Beth,
Browndale; one brother Kenneth McCartney, Syosset, NY and a sister
Judy Campbell, Long Island, NY; 3 grand daughters Megan, Miranda, and
Allison; several nieces and a nephew.
He is preceded in
death by a sister Phyllis McCartney.

Lucie Hamby, 69, of
Clarks Summit, and formerly of Riverside, CA, died Friday afternoon at
Mercy Hospice,
Scranton. She was the widow of the late Donald Hamby who died in
2005.
Born March 8, 1939,
in Washington, D.C., she is the daughter of R. Janette Gibbon Dudley,
Clarks Summit, and the late Raymond Dudley. She was a graduate of
Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD and worked as a bookkeeper
for the Woolworth Corp. until its closing, and then at various
businesses in and around Riverside. She was a former member of the
Rubidoux Methodist Church, Riverside and most recently a member of the
Forest City Methodist Church. She and her husband were avid travelers
who enjoyed visiting their many friends and family throughout the
country.
She is also survived
by numerous cousins and her canine “baby”, Misty.
Funeral service and
interment will take place at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood,
MD.

Mary Petronchak, 84,
of Starlight, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She
is married to Andrew Petronchak, Starlight.
Born July 18, 1923,
in Vandling, she was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Kunovar
Majdic. She attended Vandling schools, was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Forest
City, and before retirement she worked as a crossing guard. Her
grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life.
Also surviving are
three sons, William, West Milford, NJ, John, Vernon, NJ, and Robert,
Independence, NJ; two brothers John Majdic, Vandling and Henry Majdic,
Vandling; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.

died Sunday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. She is the
fiance of Arthur Dearie, Uniondale.
Born February 5,
1980, in Carbondale, she is the daughter of Darlene Borosky Hunt, and
companion, Thomas Buck, Forest City and Gerald Raymond Hunt, Jr, Coal
Twp. She was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School. Kim
touched the lives of everyone that she's ever met. She loved
butterflies and music. Her children were the light of her life.
Everyone who knew her loved her and will miss her dearly. Kim's spirit
will be carried with each and every butterfly that will fly in the sky
from now until forever.
She is survived by
two sons Jordan and Donovyn, and a daughter Madison. A sister Jessica
Hunt, Uniondale, maternal grandmother Donna Germano, Olyphant and
paternal grandparents Gerald Sr. and Hilda Hunt, Uniondale, a nephew
Brayden, a niece Taylor Hope and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in
death by a maternal grandfather Anthony Borosky.

died Friday evening at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was the wife
of the late Lawrence Fleming. They were married for 61 years.
Born June 19, 1911,
in Evanston, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Ida
Carpenter Heaney. She attended Evanston Schools and she earned a BA in
Chemistry from Occidental College in Los Angeles. She was a school
teacher for many years and acted as a business manager for her
husband's Scientific Instrument Company. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by a
son James Fleming, Amherst, MA and granddaughter Katherine Fleming,
San Francisco,
CA.
She was preceded in
death by a brother Adrian Heaney and a sister Alice Heaney Welter.

Elsie A. Durante, of
Pleasnat Mount and formerly of Jackson, NJ, died Thursday morning at
Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. She was the wife of the late Joseph
R. Durante who died December 4, 2006.
Born April 25, 1935,
daughter of the late Hugo and Esther French Mattson. She
was a member of St. James Church, Pleasant Mount, a graduate of NY
public schools, a life member of AMVETS and was president of the
auxiliary for a number of years,
Jackson, NJ. She
traveled all over the country bowling, and ran Bingo buses to Atlantic
City. In 1951, at age 16 she was the Rodeo Queen at Madison Square
Garden, where she would trick ride with horses with Roy Rogers, Buster
Brown, and Dale Evans. She was known by the nickname, “El Bingo”.
She is survived by 4
sons James,
Honesdale,
PA; Joseph, Jr.,
Jackson, NJ, John,
Cummings, GA, and Jeff, Pleasant Mount, PA; a sister Betty Curley,
Pleasant Mount; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; several

80, formerly of Forest City, died Wednesday evening at the Carbondale
Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late John E. Kurtz, who died
January 23, 1993.
Born November 9,
1927, in Thompson, she was the daughter of the late John and Madelyn
Prentice McAndrew. She was a member of St. Agnes Church,
Forest
City
and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary,
Forest
City. She
was a graduate of Vandling schools and prior to retirement she worked
in the shoe factory. At the Carbondale Nursing Home she was active in
Resident Council and PEER Group. She was an avid NY Yankees fan and
she loved her family very much.
She is survived by
one son Michael J. Kurtz, Fredericksburg, VA and one daughter Michelle
Heller, Forest City; nine grandchildren, Corey Ann Shaver, Michael J.
Kurtz, Jr., Corey and Justin Hojeski, Harley, Naomi, and Mackenzie
Kurtz, Rachelle and Elizabeth Heller; four great grandchildren, and
several nieces.
She was preceded in
death by a son Kevin.
Memorial
service will be Saturday at 1:00pm, at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral

Joseph W. Zologa, of
Pleasant Mount, died Wednesday morning at the Marian Community
Hospital, Carbondale. He was the husband of the late Anne M. Lacek
Zologa who died June 18, 1997.
Born April 25, 1928,
in Pleasant Mount, He was the son of the late Mathais and Veronica
Zologa. He was an Army paratrooper, a member of the American Legion,
Lakewood
and member of St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Prior to retirement
he worked for PennDot and later he worked as a dairy farmer. He
enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by
three daughters Joanne Wychowanec and husband Ron, Pleasant Mount,
Kathryn Zologa, Pleasant Mount, and Sue Kulasinsky and husband Rick,
Vandling;
four sisters Mary Brutto, FL, Helen Bannon, Lake Como, Teresa Manko,
CT, and Adeline Heesch, Lake Como; two grandsons Ricky and Joseph and wife Jamie; and
two great grandchildren Katrina and Adrienne; and several nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in
death by a brother Anthony and a grandson Christopher.
Funeral will be

Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St.
James Church, Pleasant Mount. Interment in

Mary D. Prezelski,
76, of Forest
City,
died Wednesday morning at Mercy Hospice,
Scranton. She is the wife of Julius J. Prezelski,
Forest City. They
celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past December 30th.
Born January 28,
1932, in Browndale, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary
Ravnikar Markel. She was a graduate of Forest City High School and
worked in the garment industry prior to retirement. She was a member
of Sacred
Heart
Church,
Forest City. She loved her family, especially her grand children, and
she enjoyed taking care of her home. She will be greatly missed.
Also surviving are
two daughters Denise O'Neill, Arnold, MD and Janis Vollkommer,
Alphretta, GA, and two sons Julius Prezelski Jr., Mt. Airy, MD and Paul
Prezelski, Chalfont, two brothers Tony Markel, FL and John Markel,
Dedham, MA, three sisters Rosie Shotts, Langhorn, Stephanie Grum,
Browndale, and Johanna Morosky, Browndale, and 11 grandchildren Jack,
Liam, Lily, Dana, Matthew, Luke, Juliana, Leya, Taylor, Brady, and
Cole, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by three brothers Ivan, Vincent and Frank, and three sisters
Agnes Kalasinski, Martha Gerardi, and Elsie Muchnicki.
Funeral will be

Mary F. Calafut, 84,
of Browndale, died Wednesday morning at the Forest City Nursing
Center, Forest City. She is the wife of Edward A. Calafut, Browndale.
They would have celebrated their 56th
wedding anniversary in June.
Born February 22,
1924, in Lax,
West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary
Mlkvyi Kiselica. She was a member of St. Michael's Church,
Forest
City,
she attended Forest City schools, she was an avid bingo player and she
enjoyed fishing. Her granddaughter Megan was the love of her life and
she will be greatly missed.
She is also survived
by a son Edward J. Calafut, Vestal, NY , a daughter Kathryn Jones,
Browndale, a brother John Kiselica, Syracuse, NY, a granddaughter
Megan, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by two brothers Paul and Joseph Kiselica and three sisters Ann
Polesnak, Rose Cicak, and Helen Homisak.
Funeral will be

Louis “Matty”
Ostanek, 85, of Browndale, died Wednesday morning at the Forest City
Nursing Center.
Born April 25, 1922,
in Vandling, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary Zaverl Ostanek.
He was a 1939 graduate of Forest City High School. He served in the
Navy Air Corp. during WWII. Prior to retirement he was employed by
General Motors Corporation,
Linden,
NJ, He also worked for Lane Construction Co. as an
explosives technician.
He is survived by a
brother Leonard Ostanek, West Chester, PA and several nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in
death by four brothers, Frank, William, Henry, and Albert, and two
sisters, Helen Dombroski and Doroty Peterlin.

died Saturday morning at the Mid Valley Hospital Hospice Unit,
Peckville. She was the wife of the late Paul J. Slick who died July
16, 1996.
Born September 17,
1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Dayton Fotusky.
She was a graduate of the Vandling School, a member of St. Anthony's
Church, Forest
City,
and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed
sewing and oil painting.
She is survived by a
daughter Paula Skube and husband David, Great Bend, and a niece
Marilyn Austin, Falls Church, VA.
She was preceded in
death by a daughter Marcia Wasilchak and 3 sisters, Romaine Davis,
Evelyn Basil, and Barbara Pribula.

William (Bill) Poska,
98, of Forest
City, died Monday afternoon at the Forest City Nursing Home. He was
the husband of the late Margaret Pantzer who died in May 7, 2006. They
were wed on November 25, 1933 and were married for 72 years.
Born December 28,
1909, in Browndale, he was the son of the late William and Pauline
Poska. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. He was a
member of the American Slovenian Heritage Club. Before retiring to
Forest City in 1976, Bill and Margaret lived in Elizabeth, NJ for over
35 years. He was employed by the Anheuser Busch Company,
Newark, NJ. He was
also a past member of the Browndale Sportsmen's Club.
He is survived by
two daughters, Ann Marie Kuhs and husband Elliott, Edison, NJ, and
Margaret Kelly and husband John, Bethlehem, five grandchildren -
James Kuhs, Cindy Kuhs Mussman, Shawn Kelly, Maureen White and Timothy
Kelly, and seven great grandchildren - Brianna Kuhs Mussman,
Alexandra Mussman, Sarah Kuhs, Hunter Kuhs, Paul White, Shannon Kelly
and Logan Kelly, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by five sisters - Annie Nanius, Bernetta Milos, Emma Stankus,
Helen Susco, Stella
Tumonis and one brother Anthony Poska.
Funeral will

Juel Suchy Petrilyak,
83, Forest
City,
passed away peacefully Sunday, in San Jose, CA, surrounded by her
sister Peg and nieces. She was the widow of the late John Petrilyak
who died in 1999. The were married for 49 years.
Born August 1, 1924,
she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Dupkanich Suchy. She
was a graduate of Forest City High School and the School of
Cosmetology in Binghamton, NY. She was a member of
St. John's
Byzantine Catholic Church, Forest City, where she was active in fund
raising. She enjoyed being a member of the Mothers and Daughters Club
and the Holy Rosary Society. She was the proprietor of Juel’s Beauty
Salon in New Milford for over 40 years and the president of the
Business and Professional Women’s Club of New Milford. She also was a
co-owner of the Parkway Restaurant, which was a family-run business,
Forest City. Her foremost interest in life was her church, and she
will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by a
sister Peg Baron, San Jose, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be
Friday at 9:30 from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main
Street, Forest City, with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am in St. John's
Byzantine Catholic Church, Forest City by Msgr. John Sekellick.
Interment in
St. John's

Angeline M. Cerar,
93, formerly of Vandling, died Monday morning in Tallmadge, Ohio.
Born August 30,
1914 in Vandling, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary
Majdic Cerar. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Forest City and
a member of the Slovenian Heritage Club. Prior to retirement she was a
teacher in the Vandling Schools. She enjoyed playing golf and loved
taking walks with her dog.
She is survived by
two sisters Valentina Root, Binghamton, NY and Albina Kilonsky,
Tallmadge, OH., and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by 4 brothers Frank, William, Thomas, and Joseph, and 3 sisters
Stephanie Herbst, Mary Diamond, and Edna Baldwin.
Funeral services
will be private.
