Margaret Oven Obituary

Margaret “Marge” Oven, 85, of Forest City, died Friday April 12, 2024, at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born January 9, 1939, in Forest City, she is the daughter of the late Ignatz and Jennie Koncan Oven. Marge was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. She was a graduate of Forest City School and was employed at Daystrom prior to retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her sister Clara.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center for their kind and compassionate care given to Marge.

She is survived by nieces Diana Seminerio and husband Phil; and Veronica Schell and husband Bob; a nephew Joseph Oven and wife JoAnn; great nephews, Joey and Matthew Oven; and great-great nieces and nephews, Sarah, Abby, Tyler and Alex Oven.

She was preceded in death by sisters, infant Martha Oven, Emma Shamro, Jennie Oven, Veronica Kotar, and Clara Kalinowski; and a brother Joseph Oven.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 24th, from 5 – 7 pm in the Kevin Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 25th, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.
