Patricia M. Prezelski

Patricia M. Prezelski, 70, of Honesdale, died Sunday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. 

Born March 7, 1947, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary O'Koren Prezelski. She was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City and active in St John the Evangelist Church, Honesdale. She participated in Bible Study at both churches. Her Catholic faith was very important to her.

Pat was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School and East Stroudsburg University. She was an elementary teacher in Maryland and then Los Angeles, CA for many years. She returned to PA and worked as a substitute teacher and later worked in a law office in Honesdale. She was also caretaker for her parents and a member of the Slovenian Heritage Club. She was a very generous person and will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Surviving is a sister, Karen Schaefer and husband Andrew, Binghamton; a nephew Andrew and a niece Stephanie; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Also preceded in death by a sister Kathleen Gotts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Viewing will be Wednesday from 4 to 7pm in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main Street, Simpson and from 9:30 until mass time at the church. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Ascension Parish, Forest City or St. John the Evangelist Church, Honesdale.
