Michael J. Franceski, 58, of Bethlehem, formerly of Forest City, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. He is survived by Bernadette (Nebzydoski) Franceski, his wife of 37 years.
Son of the late Joseph P. and Helen Franceski, Sr., he was a loving husband and brother and friend who will deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a graduate of Forest City High School and Penn State University. He started his own business in Bethlehem, Engineering and Building Science.
His passions were cooking, skiing, hunting and visiting with family and friends. He especially loved children and was affectionately known as “Uncle Buck,” to many.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters, Marlene and Susan; and his brother, Joseph, Jr; along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Kristin; brother-in-law, William; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Mary Nebzydoski; a niece, Amy; and nephew, Dr. David Nebzydoski.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 741 Delaware Street, Forest City on Sat., Dec. 17, at 1 p.m. An opportunity to pay respects will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
