Joseph L. McAlla, 63 died unexpectedly on Thursday April 5, 2018. He was born June 16, 1954, son of the late Joseph and Lynnette (Brainard) McAlla. He married his wife, Jean (Yakubik), on April 21, 1973 in the Clifford United Methodist Church and they would have celebrated their 45th anniversary this year.
They have three children: Donna Keslo and husband Philip of Union Dale, Brad McAlla and wife Antoinette of Clifford and Brian McAlla of Clifford . They have nine grandchildren: Michael , Kyra , Skylar , and Rhys Fortuner, Jada , Philip , and Alivia Keslo, Trinity McAlla and Blair McAlla. They have one great grandchild Axel Barr Weldon.
He started out his life long career with Homer Ross Excavating in Clifford . He was an avid truck driver since 1975. He spent over 20 years hauling steel for Liedtka Trucking Trenton, NJ. He was a subcontractor for RGM Hardwoods. He owned and operated a logging business with his son. He was an independent contractor for Ordie Price Sawmill, Gibson , Wagner Lumber NY, and for Grecco Supply Co., Clifford. He was a devoted trucker and took pride in his work and his equipment. He was dually noted for his dependability with all the companies he was associated with.
He will be missed tremendously by his border collie sidekick, Jack who will be lost without him. He had compassion for animals and was always there to help an animal in need. He is loved by all his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A family run memorial services will be held at 2 PM on May 6, 2018 at the Creekside Grove in Lenoxville.
