Eleanor M. (Prezelski) Smith

Eleanore M. Smith, 93, of Bethlehem, and formerly of Forest City, died Friday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Her husband Francis Patrick Smith died in 1995.

Born March 10, 1924, in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Kulick Prezelski. She graduated from Forest City High School. One of Eleanore's first jobs was assembling the fuse for the atom bomb in upstate NY during war times. She then worked as a riveter building British and American fighter planes in Linden, NJ. Her last employment was Sunshine Biscuits. Eleanore enjoyed playing BINGO and liked the NY Mets.

Surviving is a son Paul F. Smith and wife Susan, Bethlehem; a daughter Linda Smith, Santa Rosa, CA; a brother Julius Prezelski; a sister-in-law Vicki Perry; three grandchildren Tammy Kovacs and husband Michael, Danielle Smith and Timothy Smith; a great grandson Jacob; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 am St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. A viewing will be Thursday from 4 – 7pm in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
