Ann M. (Clark) Cyzeski

June 25, 1931 ~ December 17, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Ann M. Cyzeski, 86, of Forest City, died Sunday morning at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. Her husband of 54 years, Frank J. Cyzeski died September 21 2017.

Born June 25, 1931 in Forest City, daughter of the late John Clark and Anna Dunleavy Clark. She was a parishioner of Ascension Parish. She became an organist in St. Agnes Church when she was 12 years old. Throughout her life she played the organ in all of the Forest City churches. She was a member of the Forest City American Legion Auxiliary and the Knights of Lithuania.

Ann received her undergraduate degree in Latin from Marywood College. She then earned two Master Degrees in Education, from Seton Hill College in NJ and from the University of Scranton. She taught Latin in NJ and later was Forest City High School Principal from 1962 until the early 80's and then Forest City Elementary School Principal until her retirement in 1997.

Ann had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Her biggest joy was becoming a mother and later a grandmother. She was lovingly devoted to her family her whole life.

Surviving is a son Frank Cyzeski, Forest City and a daughter Dr. Margaret Cyzeski, Timonium, MD; a grand daughter Annika Hambleton; nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by a sister Margaret Holmes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Viewing will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main Street, Simpson and from 9:30 until mass time at the church. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
